Mission: Our mission is to end domestic violence and sexual assault by providing intervention and prevention services in a culturally-sensitive way.

Domestic violence is defined as an act of coercion, control, punishment, intimidation, or revenge designed to manipulate, control and dominate the partner and to achieve compliance and dependence. By isolating the partner from family, friends, neighbors or co-workers, the batterer ensures that his or hers are the only messages heard. These assaultive and coercive behaviors include physical and sexual violence, psychological and emotional attacks, threats against property, pets and even the children in the home, economic coercion and many more such acts.

Sexual assault is defined as a violation of a person's right to have control over their body and their right to be safe. It is an act motivated by the desire to have power and control over another person. This includes childhood sexual abuse.
